Gopher WR Green Granted Medical Hardship Waiver
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Big Ten Conference has granted Minnesota wide receiver Brandon Green a medical hardship waiver.
The Gophers say the two games Green played in during the 2010 season will not count against him. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Minnesota coach Jerry Kill says the team looks forward to having Green on the roster for two more seasons.
Green played in the first two games of the 2010 season but missed the rest of the season with a knee injury. He did not record a catch last season.
For his career, Green has 42 receptions for 599 yards and two touchdowns.
