Monkees To Perform At Minnesota Zoo

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (AP) — Some Monkees are coming to the Minnesota Zoo this summer — but these Monkees sing.

Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork are scheduled to perform at the zoo’s amphitheater July 1-2 as part of The Monkees’ 45th anniversary tour. Tickets go on sale Friday.

It’s the first live performances by the band in a decade. The tour starts June 3 in Atlanta and is set to hit more than 30 cities before wrapping up July 15 in Los Angeles.

The Monkees had a hit TV show in the 1960s and a string of hit songs including “I’m a Believer,” “Last Train to Clarksville” and “Daydream Believer.”

Original Monkee Michael Nesmith is not part of the tour.

most of you are so sad

What’s sad is the price of tickets. Changed my mind about buying them. LOL. In my opinion no one is worth that much. I know i’m out of touch with concert prices lately but NO WAY would I pay that to see someone perform. It’s laughable to ask those prices & sad that people actually want to see them that bad to pay those prices. Of course same is true for baseball games, etc.
