As a BYU alumni, I can attest that the restrictions of the Honor Code are known to all students. The basketball player knew the restrictions – he chose to attend BYU and he chose to break the Honor Code. The college should be commended for not allowing him to play instead of hiding it until after the NCAA tournament.
