Snowmobiler Dies In Isanti County Crash
SPENCER BROOK TOWNSHIP (WCCO) -- A 50-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile accident in Isanti County.
Authorities say Richard Patrick Walbridge, of Stanford Township, was pronounced dead at the scene, after hitting a tree head-on. Walbridge was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The accident happened just before 10 p.m. on Saturday near the 27400 block of Variolite Street in Spencer Brook Township. The location of the crash was on a groomed snowmobile trail.
The incident is under further investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office and the Midwest Examiners Office.
