Snowmobiler Dies In Isanti County Crash

SPENCER BROOK TOWNSHIP (WCCO) — A 50-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile accident in Isanti County.

Authorities say Richard Patrick Walbridge, of Stanford Township, was pronounced dead at the scene, after hitting a tree head-on. Walbridge was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The accident happened just before 10 p.m. on Saturday near the 27400 block of Variolite Street in Spencer Brook Township. The location of the crash was on a groomed snowmobile trail.

The incident is under further investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Examiners Office.

    you need to slow down at night to easy to over ride your headlights put a slower rider up front and stay single file PLEASE!!!!! these accidents can be avoided

    accidents also happen… dont make it seem like he wasnt driving properly. If you have never been in an accident you are lucky and if you youve never been the innocent party in an accident, you are again lucky…
