Sender Of Threats To Wis. Officials Identified
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice says it has identified one of the people who sent at least two death threats to elected officials over the past month.
The department says the suspect was identified and located Thursday night. No other information about the person was released.
The department says the investigation is ongoing and no more information will be released pending notification of the district attorney in the appropriate jurisdiction.
Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and his brother Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald have both said they received threats. They are both Republicans who voted for a bill passed this week taking away collective bargaining rights for public workers.
