Alaska-Anchorage Ousts Minnesota 2-0

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Alaska-Anchorage goalie Chris Kamal made 24 saves Saturday as Alaska-Anchorage stunned Minnesota 2-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.

With the win, the Seawolves (16-17-3) advanced to the WCHA Final Five for just the second time.

Mickey Spencer and Tommy Grant scored third-period goals for Alaska-Anchorage.

Minnesota netminder Kent Patteron had 23 saves.

Kamal made 10 stops in the third period and held the Gophers scoreless in three power plays.

It was Minnesota's (16-14-6) second loss in regulation in postseason play at Mariucci Arena. The Golden Gophers are 26-3 since opening the rink in 1993. Two of those three losses came in the last two nights to the Seawolves.

Alaska-Anchorage won 4-3 on Friday. Kamal had 22 saves in that game.
