Police: Man Assaulted During Attempted Robbery

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) — A 51-year-old St. Cloud man said he was assaulted by three men wearing ski masks during an attempted robbery Sunday morning.

St. Cloud Police were dispatched around 4:04 a.m. to the 1500 block of 10th Avenue South, where they met the man who said he was walking home from the bars when he was attacked.

The man said he was approaching his home when three men wearing ski masks walked up to him and demanded money and a cell phone. The man tried to get away but was struck in the face by one of the robbers.

The man was treated at the St. Cloud Emergency Room for his minor injuries.

Police say no weapons were involved in the assault and all the suspects fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200.
