HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) — The Florida homicide suspect that was arrested in Minnesota has been charged with being a fugitive, on top of second-degree murder charges.
Abraham Mpaka, 46, was just four hours from appearing on “America’s Most Wanted” when he was arrested Saturday at the Hastings library.
The FBI said Mpaka allegedly killed his girlfriend, Coty Paul, in North Miami Beach on Dec. 26, 2008. Authorities say he stabbed Paul in the heart as she was watching TV in a neighbor’s apartment. She was the mother to two children.
