New CD Features Minn. Music College Faculty

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A new CD features some of the working musicians who teach at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul.

The disc is called “7 Song Cycle” and will be available for free at a CD release party this month. Sample downloads will be available at the school’s website.

“Seven Song Cycle” features new, exclusive recordings by Dessa and Jeremy Messersmith. Other featured artists include jazz vocalist Judi Donaghy, guitarist Jerry Kosak, composer and McNally Smith President Harry Chalmiers, violinist Randy Sabien and composer Terry Burns.

Various members from the new album will perform during a CD release party March 29 at McNally Smith’s Music CafDe in St. Paul.
