Charges: Prior Lake Man, 37, Sexually Assaulted 12-Year-Old
CHASKA (WCCO) -- A 37-year-old Prior Lake man has been arrested and charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old victim he knew, according to Chaska Police.
Travis Allan Olsen, who faces a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, allegedly committed the crimes during the first half of 2008 while Olsen was living in Chaska.
"The investigation has shown that the then 12-year-old victim and Olsen knew each other and that Olsen assaulted the victim over an extended period of time," said Chaska Police spokesman Cpt. Jon Kehrberg.
Olsen is currently registered as a Level 3 Predatory Offender, but was not during the time he lived in Chaska. He has two prior sexual assault convictions both against juvenile acquaintances.
Olsen is in the Carver County Jail awaiting his first court appearance on March 18, 2011.
