Alcohol Suspected In Pedestrian's Death

GLENWOOD, Wis. (WCCO) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck driver in western Wisconsin early Friday morning, in an incident authorities believe involved alcohol.

According to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office, a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 38-year-old Gary Evenson struck 59-year-old Roger Forrest along County Highway G just before 4 a.m.

Forrest was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Forrest was wearing dark clothing and had no reflective markings.

Investigators believe alcohol played a factor in the incident.
