Missing Student, 15, Found Safe In Wis.

LAND O' LAKES, Wis. (WCCO/AP) -- A missing 15-year-old Minnesota girl who went missing after a hike in northern Wisconsin has been found safe.

India Lodis Orman of Minneapolis was last seen at the Conserve School, in Land O' Lakes, about 5 p.m. Saturday. She was found around 7 p.m. Sunday.

An official with the Vilas County Sheriff's Department said she does not appear to be seriously injured, but she was cold. Authorities are still gathering details and have no immediate information.

Authorities launched a search and rescue effort Sunday to find the then-missing teen, who went on the nature hike after dinner but never returned to her dorm room. Several law enforcement agencies were working on the search effort on Sunday.

No details have been released regarding how or exactly where Orman was found.

According to the school's website, Conserve School offers high school juniors a one-semester opportunity to focus on the environment and conservation. The school has a residential program and is located on a 1,200-acre wilderness campus.
