New Metrodome Roof Replacement Starts Friday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Metrodome’s new fabric roof has arrived and replacing the torn roof will begin on Friday.

It’s been down since heavy snow and ice ripped through the fabric during a December blizzard.

Consultants recommended a full replacement of the roof and insurance is picking up almost the whole tab.

Crews from Birdair, Inc. will work Monday through Saturday each week and the installation should be wrapped up in August, just in time for the Vikings preseason games.

Did they not just say that insurance was paying for it? How is that a waste of money?

Big waste of time and energy,no matter who is paying for it.
