2 Mpls. Ramps Close For Light-Rail Work

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two ramps in Minneapolis will be closing for months as crews continue to work on the Central Corridor light-rail line.

Both ramps are connected with Interstate 35W. One -- the ramp from 4th Street to southbound I-35W -- will be closed from Wednesday through sometime this summer.

The ramp from northbound I-35W to the University of Minnesota's East Bank will close next week and will remain closed until next winter.

There are posted detours, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation said the ramps to Washington Avenue and 3rd Street will remain open and available to metro area motorists.
