Rochester Airport Resumes Normal Operations After Evacuation

ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Rochester International Airport is returning to normal operations after a suspicious item found in a bag prompted an evacuation Wednesday afternoon.

The Transportation Security Administration said around 4 p.m. an agent discovered the item in a checked bag.

Passengers who were scheduled to leave the Rochester Airport were evacuated and moved to a nearby building.

The Bloomington Bomb Squad investigated the bag, but it was cleared with negative findings, according to the TSA. A terminal was also swept with negative findings.
