ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Gov. Mark Dayton visits Moorhead on Saturday as the city braces for the Red River to crest.
The first-term governor will tour two neighborhoods to view flood preparations and discuss state flood aid with local officials.
Dayton is traveling with Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman and Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Kris Eide.
Dayton has been monitoring flood threats across the state and viewed the St. Croix River with local officials in Stillwater on Friday.
He has also activated the Minnesota National Guard to help with flood preparation and relief after declaring a flood emergency for 46 counties and two tribes.
