MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The body of a 77-year-old man found Monday morning by a hiker at the Springbrook Nature Center in Fridley has been identified.

Myron Wesley Dobberstein, of Fridley, was found dead around 10:15 a.m. in a pond at the center.

Police say Dobberstein frequently walked in the park, but his cause of death is still unknown.

Autopsy results are pending.

Police say the body doesn’t have any signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected.
