Police: Man Stabbed While Robber Tried To Take Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul Police are looking for a man who stabbed another man while attempting to steal his car.

Officers said it happened on Monday around 10:40 p.m. at a gas station parking lot located at 236 Grand Avenue.

The victim, a 33-year-old man from St. Paul, said that he drove to the gas station with his 9-year-old son and parked the car. As he was getting out he said a man suddenly rushed up to him and demanded the car.

The victim said no and was stabbed multiple times while fighting the man away from his car.

The suspect ran away.

The victim was brought to Regions Hospital and is expected to recover. His son wasn't injured.

The whole incident was captured on camera. In the photos you can see the suspect, who is described as being a white male in his 20s. He was wearing a patterned black and white hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes.
