Man To Leave Glass Apartment At MOA Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — A Twin Cities man is about to move out of a glass apartment that’s been his home at the Mall of America for the past month.

Forty-five-year-old Scott Jorgenson has been living on display at the Bloomington mall since March 18. On Saturday, he steps outside the 20-by-30-foot box for the last time.

Jorgenson has been walking, working out and eating healthy meals as part of a new project created by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.

“The Human” is part of the Blue Cross “do” campaign, aimed at getting Minnesotans to live healthier lifestyles.

Jorgenson weighed 254 pounds when he went into the box. His final weight will be announced Saturday.

Supporters can join Jorgenson that morning for his final walk in the mall.

Scott was EXCELLENT! He was a perfect human doing. Scott was so personable and really got the message out. He was there to help my mom celebrate her 93rd birthday at the 3rd floor food court. We enjoyed speaking to him at the MOA. His blog was fun to follow. What a great month. What a great HUMAN DOING!
