Police: Man Exposes Himself At Store, Says He Didn't Know
CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man facing an indecent exposure charge is telling police he didn't know that he exposed himself to a convenience store employee, according to Chaska Police.
Police said the man entered the store after pumping gas into his vehicle. As he entered the store, the employee noticed that the man's genitals were exposed through his unzipped pants.
The man, who didn't say much to the employee, paid for the gas and some scratch-off tickets and left.
The employee then called the police and provided them with the vehicle's license plate number. The store's surveillance cameras also captured the incident, police said.
When detectives located the man at his residence a few days later, the man told police he didn't realize that his genitals were exposed. He theorized that perhaps his fly was down and his genitals were exposed because he does not wear underwear.
The man was charged with indecent exposure and was trespassed from the store, which means the police have made a record of the incident and the man could be arrested for trespassing if he returns.
