FBI: Armed Men Rob Plymouth Bank

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A pair of gunmen has robbed the Anchor Bank branch in Plymouth and the Minneapolis office of the FBI says the men are suspects in four other heists.

The FBI says two masked men entered the Anchor Bank about 10 a.m. Thursday. They pulled black semiautomatic pistols and forced three bank employees to open the vault.

The employees complied and the robbers put an undisclosed amount of money in a black backpack. A witness saw the robbers leave the scene in a red Chevrolet Tahoe. No one was hurt.

The men are also believed to be responsible for bank robberies in the past nine months in Champlin, Plymouth, Anoka and Roseville.

A reward of to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers is available.
