ATF Offers Up To $5,000 Reward In Atwater Arson

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A reward is being offered for information about an arson fire that destroyed three businesses in downtown Atwater.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced Monday that up to $5,000 will be offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.

The fire was reported early Feb. 28 at Phat Pheasant Pasta and Brew, and quickly spread to Holm Brothers Plumbing and Heating and to Peterson Hardware. It's estimated the fire caused about $2 million in damages.

The ATF, Minnesota State Fire Marshal, Atwater Police Department and Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office determined the fire was deliberate.

Anyone with information is asked to call the ATF Fire Hotline at (888) ATF-FIRE or (888) 283-3473.
