GOP’s Bachmann In ‘Talking Stages’ On Writing Book

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann says she is weighing requests for her to write a book, which politicians sizing up the White House tend to do.

After a rally Monday at South Carolina’s Capitol, Bachmann told The Associated Press that she is “in the early talking stages” about a book. The third-term congresswoman says she’s received several requests but is deciding whether she’ll have the time to devote to such an undertaking.

Aside from financial gain, political memoirs give hopefuls a chance to introduce themselves on their own terms.

Other possible GOP candidates with books to their name include former Govs. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, Sarah Palin of Alaska and Mike Huckabee of Arkansas. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has written several books.

It sure is funny how so many seem to hate two attractive, successful and assertive women like Michele and Sarah. Too bad your own lives and careers have left such voids. Jealously is a terrible thing-

Not jealous, just intelligent and educated, able to think and walk at the same time.

I also have degrees from an accredited Big 10 university (not a closed school with questionable background or claim a degree from a school that does not offer that degree and I did not take six years and several schools to get the first degree), and have a good paying career build upon my proven ability not sound bites and imagination in facts and trying to be a rock star.

Please do not insult me by claiming these women are successful and assertive, they are national embarrassments, out for themselves and no one else.

You insult yourself with your own obvious insecurities and jealously of others. Try to be A NORMAL PERSON and get over whatever is clearly wrong with your life.

Are you a stay at home mom who doesn’t work and has a lot ot time on your hands? Do you have any education (including high school), can you support yourself and your kids in a decent lifestyle without relying on assistance? From your comments I think you are the one who has insecurities and jealous issues. Perhaps if you signed up for a course at the local community college and met people who can actually speak intelligently about many subjects your horizons would broaden and you would realize there is a world of sane rational people out there. You have my sympathy as you must live in a very narrow world.

I have a Master’s Degree and have been a teacher for 38 years. The one thing I have learned from my wonderful life and career is to never feel sorry for yourself. Quit whining and get on with your life. When you do, you can be A NORMAL PERSON too!

I simply disagree that these two women are successful and deserve any respect. You are the one who took it to the next step.

If this is how you teach your students, your license should be re-evaluated. Teachers I know encourage discussion and exchange of ideas.
