MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An Inver Grove Heights boy scout received the Medal of Merit Monday night for saving his mother’s life.
Kyle Dickison saved his mother when she fell through the ice on the Mississippi River in 2009 trying to rescue the family dog.
Dickison called 911 and brought his mother a ladder to cling to until help arrived.
Firefighters pulled Dickison’s mother and the dog to safety.
