Vikings Hold Final Cheerleader Audition

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — Young women vying to become Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders get one last chance to show their moves.

The final audition begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Best Buy Rotunda at the Mall of America in Bloomington.

Sixty contenders are competing for one of 34 spots on the Vikings cheer team.

Tryouts began April 2 with 150 women in the running.

Finalists will perform several dance routines and cheers for a panel of judges.

The cheerleaders perform in front of more than 60,000 fans at all Vikings home games.

I can honestly say I do! The best part of the game is watching the little hotties!

  2. George Bush says:

I wonder if they are accepting men.

  3. Jack S says:

Kooky Purple – I love how people who obviously have no clue about professional sports come out of the wood work to comment when a team has one down year. I bet you were right in front of your TV screaming during that Saints/Vikings NFC Championship game? Or what about the other 2 NFC Championship games they have played in since 1999? A lot of NFL franchises and fans would kill for that excitement. True they can’t win the big one, but at least they entertain us most years. Going into last year, the Vikings won more NFC North titles than the Bears and Packers combined! GET A CLUE HOMEBOY!!

  4. John says:

They had guys in 1987 and 1988…great addition to the game, in my opinion.

  6. Johnson says:

Isn’t Fantasy Football all about the bush league on the sidelines?

  7. Kathy Haack says:

Too big of a Packer fan to even give trying out a thought!🙂

    1. YA Tittle says:

Kathy – When you say “too big”, I think we all know what you mean. We’ve seen Packer fans on TV….

  8. James says:

Men in tights and Women shaking those pom poms, not that anybody can hear or even see them in most seats. Back to the men in tights… HA!
