April: 60s Today, Snow Tomorrow (Maybe)

By Chris Shaffer, WCCO-TV

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Hope you enjoyed Monday, because Tuesday will be cold, windy and rainy. There is also a chance of snow.

Minnesotans love to celebrate the theater of seasons, but not all in one week. For instance, after a blustery rain postponed a Twins game Friday, it was sunny and spectacular Monday.

People found all kinds of ways to enjoy the Monday's weather at Como Lake; some walked on paths and others relaxed on blankets over the grass. Tuesday, however, they'll probably be indoors.

The unpredictable nature of April weather has got some Minnesotans frustrated.

"It's been ridiculous," said Jessica Gore, who was jogging near Lake Como Monday. "I don't know. You never know what it's going to be like until you wake up."

At the Como Golf Course and Ski Center, the rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, sun and snow, has taken its toll on the course. Some eager April golfers have even seen the course laced with snow in the morning and then green again in the evening.

"We don't want to hear that four letter word out here anymore," said golfer Lee Shortridge. "I burned my shovel a long time ago."

However, the rough weather hasn't been bad for everyone. Indoor play parks, like Edinborough in Edina, set attendance records last week.
