MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Michele Tafoya said Thursday afternoon that she is leaving ESPN.

Tafoya, a veteran sideline reporter for the national sports network, hosts a weekday show on NewsRadio 830 WCCO from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

She joined ESPN in 2000. In addition to working as a sideline reporter for “Monday Night Football,” Tafoya has also worked as a courtside reporter for NBA games.

I would rather listen to her than just about anybody else.
She has done some great interviews that she has held her ground on…

I AGREE!!!!! Of all the radio hosts at WCCO, she has the best time slot and has the least amount of intelligence. She cant even conduct an appropriate interview. Maybe she’ll move back to CA!!!!

Michele is an excellent sports reporter. Just wish she would stay away from politics on her radio show.

She was hired to do politics . Why else would she be allowed to donate money to the Emmer campaign and be allowed to claim she’s unbiased

Jimmy, She is not and does not have to be unbiased.
Her show is not true reporting, it is a talk show and she can share opinions.
We believe that she does a great job, as she is knowledgeable on sports and politics. Hopefully she is just cleaning up her schedule to do more on WCCO!
Give her a break and thank God we have her instead of the others.
Nice job, Michelle, please continue the nice work and keep your chin up!

I have ONE comment about Michele; she gets ticked when people try to say “Hi Michele” and then vent on her show. If she would get off her high horse and realize that when people say “Hi Michele”, we are displaying the Minnesota Nice that we’re known for. She just doesn’t get it sometimes

Right On, Michael! Michelle has her good points but she needs to relax and be a bit more smoother and classier in her talk show slot. She should be listening to old Cannon or Shelby for lessons in “Kool & Smooth”! Otherwise she is heading to be another talk show hack and know-it-all.

Michelle does a good job at WCCO of leveliing the playing field with all the other left leaning hosts they have. Kudo’s to WCCO for hiring her, she does a great job and I hope she remains at WCCO.
