Fire Destroys 2 Townhouses At Izatys Resort

ONAMIA (WCCO) — A fire destroyed two townhouses at the Izatys Resort in Onamia, Minn. Friday afternoon, according to an Izatys official.

Dena Pribbenow, the Lodgings Manager at Izatys, said the fire started in one of the privately-owned townhouses at around 5 p.m.

According to Peter Willis of the Onamia Fire Department, the townhouse was fully engulfed and the fire spread to the one next to it. Two other townhouses were damaged by smoke, but were not affected by the fire.

Willis said the homes were unoccupied and there were no injuries.

The townhomes are part of the Izatys Townhome Association and are vacation homes, and no one lives in them year-round.

How rude William, that is a huge part of our family vacation each year! You
suck inthe benefits of our dollar when we are
        up there!
        Sham on you!

I agree K Lesnick! William, lets focus on the fact that no one was hurt or killed in these fires! Not to mention the personal property of these owners that was lost! Have another beer and stop the typical “hating” of the wonderful fokes that own these units and pay the MAJORITY of the land taxes in this county! Shame
