Sound Crawl Parade To Accompany St. Paul Art Crawl

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A mix of electric marching guitars, high steppers and rappers will provide a musical kickoff to this weekend's St. Paul Art Crawl.

The McNally Smith College of Music's Sound Crawl will parade though St. Paul's downtown and Lowertown on Friday evening.

Marchers include Laptopia, a laptop solar-powered marching band; the Full Circle Maximalist Marching Ensemble, made up of electric guitarists, rappers and singers; and the Jack Brass Band, a New Orleans-style brass band.

The parade runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m., starting at McNally Smith, going to Mears Park and ending in Lowertown.

The St. Paul Art Crawl runs Friday through Sunday. Artists run the event, which is free and open to all.
