Minn. Opera Returns To Iron Range In May

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Opera is returning to the Iron Range next week.

The opera will hold a residency with the Chisholm Public Schools, Virginia High School and local arts organizations.

Starting Monday, the opera's teaching artist Angie Keeton and resident artist Jeremy Reger will work with students and arts group to prepare them for a public concert.

The "Opera's Greatest Hits" concert will be performed Friday at 7 p.m. in the Chisholm High School Auditorium. The event is free for students and $5 for adults. Tickets are available at the door.

Last year's opera residency resulted in a performance of "Carmen" that attracted more than 700 students and adults to the Chisholm High School Auditorium.
