Police: Man, Dog Drown In Slough Near Underwood, Minn.

UNDERWOOD, Minn. (AP) — A Dent man and his dog are dead after their pickup went off a road and submerged in a slough (sloo) near Underwood over the weekend.

Otter Tail County sheriff’s authorities say 35-year-old Paul Whitman was not wearing a seat belt.
Both Whitman and his dog drowned.

The accident happened early Saturday. The sheriff’s office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
