MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Today’s “Sesame Street” is brought to you by the letter “A” — for “airplane.”
Characters from the long-running children’s TV show will be at three airports this week to help Delta Air Lines kick off the summer travel season.
Elmo and Cookie Monster appear Monday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where they’ll make gate announcements, greet fans and take photos with Delta customers.
Grover joins the gang for the second leg of the trip to New York and an appearance at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday. From New York, Elmo and Grover head to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for the final event Thursday.
A new DVD, “Elmo’s Travel Songs and Games,” is being released Tuesday and will be aired as part of Delta’s in-flight entertainment on certain flights from June through August.
