Stabbing As 2 Bachelor Parties Brawl

NEW GERMANY, Minn. (WCCO) — A 21-year-old man was arrested after two groups holding pre-wedding parties were involved in a bar fight early Sunday morning.

The incident happened in New Germany, Minn.

Carver County authorities said two separate bachelor parties were arguing. A woman in one of the parties was shoved by a man in the other group, sparking several brawls.

One person was stabbed in the melee, according to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office. A knife was recovered from the scene.

Two people were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in the aftermath, though neither sustained life-threatening injuries.

Phillip James Turner was arrested and booked at Carver County Jail. He is being held on second-degree assault.

They were people from out of town, I bet they were all from the Twin Cites, most likely Minneapolis.

nothing to do in those little towns. people get antsy and do stupid things. i’ve never seen that sort of thing happen in the twin cities after many years of living there.

Too Jim – who are you kidding. You are living in a dream world. Nothing like this ever happens in the twin cities. What a joke. Maybe because it happens most every wknd it’s hard to keep track of.

      3. Shirley says:

It happens a lot in the the Twin Cities, just not as broadcasted as much I guess because of all of the diversity of races. But get some people into a small town and something happens, that is news for the town so you will hear more of it. I don’t know where you lived in Minneapolis But I have been around since the 60’s and this happens in many of the bars down here.

    2. Shirley says:

Sorry but they are not from Minneapolis

Pretty scary. I live about 30 minutes west of this bar. It’s such a small town and to hear that happened is sad. And to Chris that want to call us “hillbillies” and collect walfare, I think you need to grow up! Not everyone out here collect walfare. Some of the hardest working people live outside of the cities.
