CHICAGO (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have placed outfielder Jason Repko on the 15-day disabled list with a sore left quad and called up Ben Revere from Triple-A Rochester.

The team announced the moves before Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.

Repko is the sixth Twins player currently on the DL, a list that includes star catcher Joe Mauer and veteran DH Jim Thome. Repko was batting .208 in 24 at-bats this season.

Revere was hitting .293 in 23 games at Rochester.

In another move after Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over the White Sox, the Twins optioned catcher Steve Holm to Rochester. Holm was 2 for 17 in six games for Minnesota.

The Twins will fill Holm’s roster spot with a move prior to Friday night’s game in Boston.
