ST. PAUL (WCCO) – A pick-up truck slammed into a Metro Transit bus Wednesday morning, sending both vehicles into a building. As many as eight people were sent to the hospital.
The crash happened at the corner of Cedar and Sixth streets just after 9 a.m.
The bus involved was the Route 94 bus, according to Metro Transit spokesman John Siqveland.
“It sounds like about 10 (customers) on the bus,” Siqveland said. “Five or six of them were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, thank goodness.”

He said the bus driver was one of the people hospitalized.
Two people in the pick-up truck were hospitalized, also with non-life threatening injuries. Siqveland said the pick-up driver was cited by Metro Transit Police for careless driving and no proof of insurance.
The accident will be investigated by Metro Transit Police.
