Police: Man Charged In Abduction Had Child Porn
ANOKA, Minn. (WCCO/AP) -- Investigators say a man charged with sexually assaulting and kidnapping an 8-year-old girl from a St. Paul laundromat had images of child pornography strewn about his Spring Lake Park home.
The information came out Thursday during a first court appearance for 48-year-old John Craig Heuer.
According to Paul Young, the prosecutor in the case against John Heuer, police also found multiple female garments in a safe.
Heuer is charged with criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. Authorities say the long-distance trucker may have other victims.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney. He was held on $800,000 bail.
The girl was kidnapped Sunday and found walking near Heuer's house.
A criminal complaint says Heuer told police the girl was a prostitute and he paid her mother $100.
