MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Motorists prepare for delays and detours. Highway 280 in St. Paul will close at 10 p.m. Friday in both directions.
The road will close at University Avenue as Metropolitan Council crews continue to work on the Central Corridor Light Rail project.
No traffic will be allowed on northbound 280 between Interstate 94 and University Avenue or on southbound 280 between the Kasota Avenue and Energy Park Drive exit and I-94.
Southbound motorists can take Highway 36 east to southbound I-35E to I-94W. Northbound motorists should follow I-94E to northbound I-35E and take Hwy. 36 west.
The road will reopen, weather permitting, by 5 a.m. Monday, May 16.
