MSNBC's Ed Schultz Sued By Ex-Associate

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A man who spent three decades in the Fargo area as a sports broadcaster and talk show host is facing a lawsuit from a man who says he's owed a share of the profits from Ed Schultz's daily show on MSNBC.

Broadcast engineer Michael Queen says Schultz owes him $100,000 for the 25 percent stake of the profits Schultz promised him and other expenses racked up while pitching Schultz as a TV pundit to various networks in 2008 and 2009.

James Holm, a producer for "The Ed Show," tells The Forum newspaper that Schultz has no comment on the lawsuit filed in federal court in the District of Columbia.

Queen acknowledges Schultz never signed an official agreement. But he contends Schultz made promises in e-mails amounting to an enforceable contract.
