WARBA, Minn. (WCCO) – A fire in rural Itasca County near the town of Warba killed two people on Friday, authorities said.
The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a structural fire at 10:55 p.m. Friday. When authorities arrived, they found two victims inside the residence who had died.
Both victims were transported to the Grand Itasca Hospital to determine an official cause of death. Their identities are currently being withheld pending notification of family.
The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Warba and Goodland Fire Departments, the Minnesota State Patrol and the State Fire Marshal.
