Bachmann Sticks With June Deadline On Possible Run

ARCHBOLD, Ohio (AP) -- Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota says she's sticking with her plan to decide on a White House run in June.

The tea party favorite says she thought about moving up her decision after former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced last week that he's not seeking for the 2012 Republican nomination.

Bachmann was in the battleground state of Ohio on Friday night to speak at fundraiser.

She says her decision on the presidential race won't be influenced former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty's plans to run. One of Pawlenty's advisers tells The Associated Press that he'll formally announce his bid Monday.

Bachmann says the Republican party will have a deep bench going into 2012 and that she's excited about the candidates.
