Police Search For 'High-End' West Metro Burglar
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Police Department is searching for a man they believe is responsible for at least five burglaries of "high-end" homes in the west metro.
The burglaries were reported in Minneapolis, Edina, Minnetonka, Wayzata and Plymouth. In the Minneapolis cases, which began in January and most recently occurred in April, the burglar disconnected alarm systems to gain entry.
He then stole jewelry, cash, checkbooks and electronics. In one case, he was spotted disconnecting a security camera system.
Police say most of the burglaries took place during the day or when the residents were away for an extended period of time.
Anyone who can recognize the suspect in the photos is asked to call Sgt. James Jensen at 612-673-5587.
