Man Shot Outside Mpls. Bar Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 26-year-old man, who was shot Sunday night outside a bar near Groveland and Nicollet Avenue, has died.

Police say Guled Hashi Mohamed, of Burnsville, died Monday morning after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Mohamed was found Sunday night inside a vehicle at a Super America gas station at 2200 Lyndale Ave. S.

Police say they heard shots fired outside the bar around 11:30 p.m., saw a vehicle leave the scene and spotted Mohamed a short time later at the gas station.

He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died Monday.

Police do not have anyone in custody in connection with the case or any of the other shootings that took place late Sunday night.

Police say two men were shot around bar closing time early Monday in the Minneapolis Warehouse District. One of those men — a 21-year-old from St. Paul — was hospitalized at HCMC in life-threatening condition.
