Ken Lohr was born and raised on a dairy farm in Jerseyville, Minnesota. He moved the the Twin Cities when he was 20, met his wife and joined the US Navy. He went to Vietnam in 1967, and served there for 18 months as a machinist. Lohr served a total of 7 years in the US Navy, and settled into Mahtomedi to raise his family and begin his career.
Lohr is now a retired iron worker, and runs a pub in Mahtomedi called “The Flame Bar”.
Lohr has 4 children and 9 grandchildren, and is active in the American Legion.
