Semi Rolls Over In Maple Grove, Ramp Closes

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A busy ramp is closed in Maple Grove because of a semi rollover that happened in the early morning rush hour Friday .

The truck flipped around 4:04 a.m. and blocked the ramp heading from westbound Interstate 94 to southbound Interstate 494.

The semi driver was transported to North Memorial Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

The rollover spilled the semi’s cargo of lumber all over the road, but crews were able to remove the wood before rush hour.

Police are still investigating the cause of the rollover.

people slow down when they enter the highway and speed up when they exit totally the oposite looks like the person has no experence driving the rig or they didnt pay attention to the exit speed limit which is posted for cars and not trucks

This was NOT the truck driver’s fault – he was cut off by someone who decided to go to 494 south at the last minute. Thanksfully the driver is okay, despite the cab of the truck being totally crushed.

That curve is one of the most dangerous thiat side of the city. It is a terrible idea that two freeways come together in a single lane. And, I thought semi’s were supposed to stay in the right lane which whether true or not could have made a big difference.
