Weather Blog: Even Cooler

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After the record high of 103 in the Twin Cities on Tuesday, a cool down was inevitable.

Technically, we topped out at 83 on Wednesday, but that was at around 1 a.m. During the daylight hours, we never rose above the upper 70s.

Even cooler air will spread over our region on Thursday.

Then on Friday we are expecting highs in the 60s and periods of rain, with a thunderstorm also possible.

How about the weekend? A stray shower is possible on Saturday, with some sun on Sunday. Sunday will be the warmest day of the weekend, but still a bit below average.

So, no need to run the air conditioner anytime soon.
