Mother Reacts To Death Of Local Rapper

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- The family of a man burned and left for dead in a St. Paul alley is trying to make sense of his tragic death.

Quincy Blue, 30, was a rap music writer and producer from Brooklyn Park. His charred body was found by a toddler, in this alley near Westminster and Geranium, in St. Paul Wednesday.

His family and friends say he was a good man.

"He was just a wonderful son," said his mother, Shirley Blue, on Thursday. "I appreciate the 30 years I had with my child. My heart is broken really bad and I just wish I could see him again."

She had a message for the person who might be responsible for her son's death.

"Taking him was so brutal, so hurtful. You took him away from people who loved him," she said.

Police don't have anyone in custody, but the family believes someone must know something.
