MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Friday is the last day that crews will be in Minneapolis neighborhoods picking up large tree debris stacked on boulevards from last month’s tornado.

However, people who still have large tree debris on boulevards and in alleys after Friday can call 311 and crews will come and pick it up.

Residents who already have called to ask the city to pick up tree debris from alleys don’t need to call again. Crews will fulfill those requests.

Over the coming weeks Park Board crews will continue removing stumps along boulevards. Crews also will return to remove some boulevard trees that were heavily damaged in the storm and pose safety concerns.

Property owners can continue to use Minneapolis’ regular yard waste services to get rid of small tree debris.
