MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The woman who police say was allegedly killed by her husband in their Dayton, Minn. home has been identified.

Investigators say 58-year-old Georgia Lee Bogema was found dead in her home around 4:30 p.m. Friday. They say she died of multiple “sharp force injuries.”

Her death has been ruled a homicide. On Friday, police arrested Bogema’s 49-year-old husband John in the case, who is currently in custody, though has not been charged.

I am a family member and do not appreciate your comments and trying to turn this into a racial issue… Perhaps if you knew the family you would know that she was also American Indian.. Mental illness is a disease not a racial issue!!
Please have some compassion for a family who is grieving over this horriable tragedy!

I met Geargia once, at a funeral. She seemed to be such a lovely woman. Please accept my heartfelt condoleances.

I worked with Georgia a long time ago and she was a WONDERFUL CARING person. She always had a smile on her face and would do anything for anyone. I will say prayers for her family to heal and to remember what a wonderful person she was. She will be missed by all for I know I was a better person for knowing her. God Bless and have peace in knowing that even though we would have liked to have kept her with us, she is now in a better place with her own peace and love all around her.
