Lino Lakes Girl, 16, Dies After Being Hit By Dump Truck

LITTLE CANADA (WCCO) — A 16-year-old girl who was hit by a dump truck in Little Canada on Tuesday has died from her injuries, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Gina Morri of Lino Lakes was struck on the intersection of Country Drive and Spruce Street. She was taken to Regions Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to Morri’s CaringBridge website, Morri was jogging with her gymnastics teammates when she was hit, and sustained critical injuries to her head and chest.

The accident is still being investigated. No arrest has been made, and there are currently no charges pending.
