MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –- Pierce County police responded to a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon after a driver lost control of her motorcycle and flipped it near the shoulder of the road.

Police said they were notified of the accident, which occurred just north of 870th Avenue in Wisconsin’s Martell Township, at 1:18 p.m.

Police said 36-year-old Laura Kasel, of Hammond, Wis., was driving south when she left the road on a curve and drove onto the road’s shoulder. Kasel then lost control of the motorcycle, which flipped over and threw her off.

An ambulance transported Kasel to Baldwin Hospital. She suffered undetermined injuries, police said.
